The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced ticket prices for the Black Stars’ 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying match against Somalia, with regular tickets going for GH¢50 and VIP admission pegged at GH¢100.
In an effort to encourage greater fan attendance and boost support for the national team, the Association has also introduced free entry for students who present valid student identification cards at the stadium.
Ghana will host Somalia in the first leg of the double-header on Thursday, November 12, at the Essipong Sports Stadium in Sekondi-Takoradi. The match is scheduled to kick off at 3:00 pm GMT.
According to the GFA’s ticketing arrangements, supporters occupying any of the regular stands with fixed seating will pay GH¢50, while those opting for the VIP section will be required to purchase tickets at GH¢100.
The Black Stars will be counting on home support as they seek to secure their first points in Group C following a difficult start to their qualifying campaign.
Ghana have suffered consecutive defeats against Côte d’Ivoire and The Gambia in their opening two fixtures, leaving their chances of progressing to the 2027 tournament under considerable pressure.
The upcoming meeting with Somalia therefore presents an important opportunity for the team to revive its campaign and improve its position in the group standings.
The two nations will face each other again in the return fixture on Monday, November 16, with kick-off also scheduled for 3:00 pm GMT.
The Black Stars will be hoping to take advantage of the two encounters to collect maximum points and strengthen their chances of securing qualification for the 2027 AFCON tournament.
