The Ministry of Health Ghana has announced the start of a nationwide validation exercise for qualified health professionals as part of its ongoing recruitment and posting process.
In a statement released by spokesperson Tony Goodman, the Ministry called on all prospective applicants to confirm their eligibility through the official recruitment portal before advancing to the next stage.
Applicants are expected to log onto the portal and verify their status using either their PIN or index number. This step is aimed at ensuring that candidates are in good standing with their respective professional regulatory bodies.
The validation process is scheduled to run in phases. Initial PIN verification will take place from April 16 to April 20, 2026.
This will be followed by pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, physician assistants, and community health applicants from April 22 to April 25.
Allied health professionals are expected to complete their validation between April 27 and May 1.
Nurses and midwives will undergo their validation from May 4 to May 15, with the Ministry indicating that members of the 2021 cohort will be given priority.
At the same time, the posting exercise will be carried out across various regions within the same timeframe.
Applicants in the Upper East and Upper West Regions will be processed from May 4 to May 5, followed by those in the Savannah and North East Regions from May 6 to May 7.
Candidates in the Oti and Bono East Regions are scheduled for May 8 to May 9, while those in the Western North and Ahafo Regions will be handled between May 10 and May 11.
Further schedules show that applicants in the Volta and Northern Regions will be attended to on May 12, with the Central and Western Regions following on May 13.
Bono and Ashanti Regions are set for May 14, while Eastern and Greater Accra Regions will wrap up the exercise on May 15.
The Ministry has urged all applicants to strictly follow the outlined timelines to prevent any delays in the recruitment process.
