Prince Amoako Junior scores winner as Nordsjaelland beat Copenhagen

Ghanaian teenager Prince Amoako Junior inspired FC Nordsjaelland to a determined victory over Copenhagen on Saturday afternoon.

The 18-year-old netted the decisive goal in a 2-1 away triumph in the Danish Superliga clash. Copenhagen made a strong start, taking the lead just six minutes into the match through Mohammed Elyounoussi.

Despite trailing at halftime, Nordsjaelland responded with renewed purpose after the break. The visitors were awarded a penalty in the 70th minute, and Ola Solbakken calmly converted to restore parity.

Eight minutes later, Amoako Junior produced the match-winning moment. After his side successfully defended a corner, he surged forward from his own half and finished with a composed low strike past the Copenhagen goalkeeper.

His effort handed Nordsjaelland their first lead of the afternoon, and they managed the closing stages effectively to secure all three points.

The goal marked Amoako Junior’s sixth in the league this season, having already scored five in the opening half of the campaign. He has also contributed four assists in the Danish top flight this term.
