Former Ghana international Anthony Baffoe has reportedly declined an invitation to serve on the committee responsible for selecting the next head coach of the Black Stars.
Baffoe was announced as one of the members of a five-person committee established to lead the search for a new coach. The committee is chaired by former Ghana Football Association (GFA) Vice President Fred Pappoe.
Other members include former Black Stars captain Stephen Appiah, FIFA high-performance specialist Faisal Chibsah and football administrator Agbesi Dzakpasu.
Baffoe Reportedly Not Consulted Before Appointment
Reports indicate that Baffoe had not formally accepted the position before his name was made public.
He is also said to have raised concerns over the consultation process, as he was reportedly not properly engaged before being appointed to the committee.
Baffoe has since communicated his decision not to participate, although he remains willing to contribute to the development of Ghana football in other ways.

The committee was established following a meeting between the Ministry of Sports and Recreation and the GFA on Friday, October 2, after the departure of Carlos Queiroz.
Its main responsibility is to identify, assess and recommend a suitable candidate to take charge of the Black Stars.
The committee is expected to submit its recommendations by Friday, October 9.
Ghana Searching for New Coach After Difficult AFCON Start
The search for a new head coach comes at a challenging period for the national team.
Ghana opened its 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign with a 2-0 defeat to Côte d’Ivoire before suffering another setback in a 4-2 loss to The Gambia.
The Black Stars will return to qualifying action in November when they take on Somalia, with Ghana under pressure to revive its campaign and improve its chances of reaching the tournament.
