The Embassy of Ghana in Doha has released a security notice advising Ghanaian nationals residing in Qatar to remain indoors and seek immediate shelter until further instructions are given, amid escalating regional tensions.

In a statement dated February 28, 2026, the mission referenced a missile strike and its effects in Doha as the reason for the alert. It directed citizens to depend solely on verified and official channels for information.

The notice specifically urged Ghanaians to avoid military installations, stay inside their homes, steer clear of large gatherings, and limit movements that could expose them to harm.

Additionally, nationals were encouraged to ensure they have basic necessities within reach, including sufficient food supplies and essential medications.

The Embassy indicated that further updates would be communicated as the situation develops
