Preparations for the funeral of highlife legend Daddy Lumba came to an abrupt halt on Friday morning at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
Canopies, chairs, and other setups had already been completed ahead of the ceremony, which was scheduled for Saturday, December 13, 2025.
However, the arrangements were thrown into uncertainty after the Accra High Court issued an injunction restraining any further activity connected to the funeral.
The court order pauses all ongoing preparations until the legal dispute over the musician’s burial arrangements is fully resolved.
