CAGD

The Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD) has announced that the payment of two types of allowances for education sector workers has been delayed.

These allowances, which were supposed to be paid in November 2025, could not be finalized due to a technical problem encountered during the last stage of payroll processing.

The delay occurs as the government continues its efforts to ensure prompt salary and allowance payments for public sector employees, even though occasional technical challenges arise.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, the CAGD explained that the processing of the allowances had to be put on hold to avoid any interference with the payment of November 2025 salaries for all government workers.

The department assured those affected that the problem is being addressed and that the delayed allowances will be added to December 2025 salaries, to be paid on December 18, 2025.

“We apologise for the inconvenience and greatly appreciate your understanding,” the statement added
