The 27th edition of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) took place at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre, bringing together some of Ghana’s biggest musicians, entertainment personalities, industry players, and music fans for a memorable celebration of outstanding music achievements.
The highlight of the night belonged to Black Sherif, who emerged as the winner of the prestigious Artiste of the Year award, capping off an impressive year marked by successful releases and significant cultural impact.
Medikal also enjoyed one of the biggest moments of the evening after securing multiple awards, including Hip Hop/Hiplife Artiste of the Year and Most Popular Song of the Year for his hit track “Shoulder”, making it a major milestone in his TGMA career.
Several other artistes also recorded notable victories during the ceremony, including Stonebwoy, Wendy Shay, Diana Hamilton, and Kofi Kinaata, all of whom delivered strong performances in their respective categories.
In general, TGMA 27 showcased the competitiveness and growth of Ghana’s music industry, as both established musicians and emerging talents shared the spotlight on one of the nation’s biggest entertainment platforms.
