Caleb Yirenkyi has been crowned FC Nordsjælland’s Player of the Season after delivering an exceptional 2025/26 campaign that saw him emerge as one of the club’s standout performers.
The 20-year-old midfielder enjoyed a breakthrough year characterised by consistency, versatility, and impressive development, playing in several roles, including right-back, centre-back, and central midfield.
His ability to adapt across multiple positions became a key asset for the Danish club throughout the season.
Yirenkyi finished the league campaign with two goals and six assists in 29 appearances, underlining his importance in both defensive and attacking situations.
He also ended the season on a high note with another strong display in FC Nordsjælland’s recent 2-1 win over Viborg FF.
His latest recognition further highlights the growing success of Ghanaian players at the club. Before him, Ernest Nuamah won the same Player of the Season award prior to earning a transfer to French side Olympique Lyonnais in 2023.
Since earning promotion into the Ghana national team setup, Yirenkyi has established himself as a key player for the Black Stars and is widely tipped to make Ghana’s squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
