The National Coordinator of the Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS), Sheriff Sulemana, has announced that the placement results for candidates who sat the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) are expected to be released by Monday, August 31, 2026.
According to him, the release of the placement results will allow successful candidates to find out the Senior High Schools (SHSs) and Senior High Technical Schools (SHTSs) to which they have been assigned before the commencement of the new academic year.
Mr. Sulemana also disclosed that students entering the first year of Senior High School are expected to report to their respective schools on Friday, September 18, 2026, to begin their second-cycle education.
The announcement is intended to provide certainty for candidates, parents and guardians who have been eagerly awaiting the release of the 2026 SHS placement results following the publication of the BECE results.
