The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has scheduled a four-day maintenance exercise that will temporarily disrupt electricity supply in parts of the Accra West area.
The planned maintenance is set to take place from Monday, August 10 to Thursday, August 13, 2026, with power interruptions expected each day between 9:00am and 5:00pm.
ECG explained that the exercise forms part of its planned maintenance works aimed at improving the reliability and quality of electricity supply in the affected communities.
Monday, August 10
The first phase of the exercise will affect Nyamekye, Mab Hospital, Darkuman, and nearby communities.
Tuesday, August 11
On Tuesday, the affected areas will include ACP Estate, Aboum, Tabora Nos. 3, 4, 5 and 6, Alhaji Trotro Station, Tantra Hill, Lartebiorkorshie Methodist and Doblo.
Wednesday, August 12
The maintenance exercise will continue on Wednesday in Akweteyman, Amasaman and surrounding communities.
Thursday, August 13
The final phase of the exercise will affect Lartebiorkorshie Methodist, Yasako Press, Adeiso, Maame Dede, Kinshasha, Red Top, and other nearby areas.
ECG has urged residents, businesses, and other electricity users in the affected communities to make the necessary preparations ahead of the scheduled outages.
The company said the temporary interruptions are necessary to facilitate the maintenance works and improve electricity service delivery in the affected areas.
