Ghanaian highlife and Afrobeats star KiDi has officially announced his exit from Lynx Entertainment, bringing an end to the partnership that played a major role in shaping his music career.
During a TikTok Live interaction with content creator Code Micky, the singer responded to questions about his affiliation with the record label.
Asked whether he was still signed to Lynx Entertainment, KiDi replied that he was no longer with the label.
The musician disclosed that he is currently operating as an independent artiste, marking a fresh chapter in his journey in the music industry.
According to him, the transition away from Lynx Entertainment started around the period he released Gymnastic, his collaboration with Olivetheboy and Kojo Blak.
KiDi joined Lynx Entertainment in 2016 after winning the 2015 edition of the MTN Hitmaker competition.
During his time with the label, he became one of Ghana’s biggest music exports, releasing popular songs such as Say You Love Me, Enjoyment, and the internationally acclaimed Touch It.
His projects Sugar and The Golden Boy also strengthened his reputation in the Ghanaian music scene, earning him several awards and global recognition.
Since becoming independent, the award-winning artiste has continued to maintain a strong presence in the music space.
His recent track Signature featuring Lasmid has gained massive attention on radio stations and digital streaming platforms.
