Burna Boy’s US tour, including his show slated for November 28, 2025, at The Armoury in Minneapolis, has been abruptly called off, reportedly due to low ticket sales.
Ticketmaster announced the cancellation on Thursday, confirming that the Minneapolis concert would not proceed. A second show, planned for December 1, 2025, in Chicago, has also been cancelled.
Although organisers have not officially explained the decision, the cancellations follow growing backlash against the musician after an incident in Colorado, where he walked off stage when a fan was seen sleeping during his performance.
A video of the moment went viral, triggering widespread criticism criticism that intensified when Burna Boy later stated during an Instagram Live session that he wants “supporters who buy tickets, not fans.” It was later revealed that the woman who fell asleep had been mourning a recent personal tragedy.
On Friday morning, Burna Boy confirmed the cancellations himself, sharing a Ticketmaster link on his Instagram story that showed both concerts had been scrapped.
