The Ghana Education Service (GES) has placed a teacher at Bole Senior High School in the Savannah Region under interdiction after a video circulating on social media allegedly showed inappropriate sexual conduct involving the staff member and a student.
In a statement from its Public Relations Unit, GES confirmed that investigations have been launched to establish the facts surrounding the incident.

The Service noted that it became aware of the video through social media and described the content as deeply concerning.
In accordance with its regulations, the teacher has been removed from active duty pending the outcome of the investigation.
GES strongly condemned any form of inappropriate relationship between teachers and students, reiterating its strict zero-tolerance policy on sexual misconduct within schools.
The Head of Public Relations, Mr Daniel Fenyi, emphasised that all staff are expected to maintain the highest standards of professionalism and ethical conduct.

The Service further stressed its commitment to protecting students and ensuring a safe learning environment. It assured the public that any individual found guilty after investigations will face both disciplinary action and legal consequences where necessary.
GES added that the matter is being handled with urgency and seriousness and that updates will be communicated as investigations continue.
