Former fetish priestess turned evangelist Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, widely known as Nana Agradaa, has regained her freedom after spending eight months at Nsawam Prison.
She has since returned home to reunite with her husband and relatives. Her husband, Asiamah, confirmed her release in a Facebook post on Tuesday, March 3, saying he was grateful she was finally back home.
Nana Agradaa is also expected to fellowship with members of her church later today, marking her first public engagement since leaving custody.
She was originally handed a 15-year prison sentence on July 3, 2025, after being found guilty of defrauding by false pretence and engaging in charlatanic advertising. Her lawyers appealed the ruling, maintaining that the punishment was disproportionate.
Following a review, the Amasaman High Court reduced the sentence to 12 calendar months, describing the initial term as excessively severe.
Her release was made possible under Ghana’s remission policy after she completed two-thirds of the revised sentence
