The Ministry of Education has disbursed GH¢9.5 million to Primetime Limited, the organisers of the National Science and Mathematics Quiz (NSMQ), to clear all outstanding debts accumulated from 2023 to date.

Education Minister Haruna Iddrisu made the announcement during the Conference of Heads of Assisted Secondary Schools (CHASS).

In a statement released by his Press Secretary, Hashim Haruna, the Ministry reiterated its dedication to advancing science and mathematics education through continuous financial support and broader student engagement.

“The Ministry of Education has released GH¢9.5 million to Primetime Company to settle all arrears owed to the organisers of the National Science and Mathematics Quiz competition,” the statement said.

The Ministry further revealed that the NSMQ will now accommodate more participating schools.
“The number of schools in the competition has increased from 124 to 177,” the statement concluded
