The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) confirmed that personnel from the Accra City Fire Station were the first to respond to the emergency following reports of the blaze.

As the fire intensified, additional support was deployed from the ministries, parliament, and industrial area fire stations to strengthen firefighting operations at the scene.

According to the GNFS, four fire engines are currently engaged in efforts to bring the situation under control and prevent the flames from spreading to surrounding buildings and businesses.

The rapid spread of the fire has resulted in significant losses, with several traders reportedly affected as merchandise and other valuables were consumed by the blaze.

Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the fire, and no official information has been released regarding possible casualties or the full extent of the damage.

Firefighters remain at the scene as containment and extinguishing operations continue, while officials assess the situation and work to prevent further destruction.
