Recruitment

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has provided details on the next phases of the 2026 teacher recruitment process, outlining how shortlisting, validation, and postings will be handled after candidates submit their applications.

Shortlisting and Validation

GES explained that once applicants complete and submit their forms online, the assessment process begins. At this stage, all applications are thoroughly reviewed to confirm that candidates meet the required academic and professional standards.

The Service also verifies whether applicants submitted the correct documents and provided accurate information during registration.

After this review, the results of the shortlisting will be published on the GES-GEDP recruitment portal, where applicants can check their status and see if they have advanced to the next stage.

Posting and Appointment

GES will issue official appointment letters to candidates who successfully pass the validation stage. They will then be assigned to schools across the country.

Postings will depend on several factors, including the applicant’s subject area, preferred region or district, availability of vacancies, and willingness to work in areas where teachers are most needed.

Reporting and Final Documentation

After postings are announced, newly recruited teachers must report to their designated district education offices to complete the required documentation before starting work.

At this point, they will be required to present their original academic and professional certificates for verification. This final step ensures that all details provided during the application process are accurate before appointments are fully confirmed.
