The 2027 Grammy Awards will be broadcast live on ABC from the Crypto.com Arena in downtown Los Angeles on Sunday, February 7, 2027. The ceremony will also be available for streaming on Disney+ and Hulu.
The announcement was made on Tuesday, May 12, during Disney’s upfront presentation held in New York City. Organisers also confirmed that nominations for the awards will be unveiled on Monday, November 16, 2026.
The upcoming edition will mark the first time the Grammy Awards have aired on ABC since 1972. Plans for the awards ceremony to move to ABC, Hulu, and Disney+ were initially disclosed in October 2024.
Harvey Mason Jr., CEO of the Recording Academy and the Grammys, described the move as the beginning of a new era for the awards scheme.
“The Grammys are all about celebrating the music that moves the world, and this moment is built on exactly that,” he said.
“This is an exciting time for us as an organisation — a new home and a bold new chapter for the Grammy Awards. We’re just getting started, and the best is yet to come.”
The first two live Grammy broadcasts in 1971 and 1972 were aired on ABC before the show moved to CBS in 1973, where it remained until the 2026 edition, held on February 1. In recent years, the Grammy Awards were also streamed on Paramount+.
Since 2000, the ceremony has been hosted at the Crypto.com Arena, formerly known as the Staples Center, except for four occasions. The 2003 and 2018 editions took place at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Meanwhile, the 2021 and 2022 ceremonies were relocated due to the COVID-19 pandemic and related health concerns. The 2021 Grammy Awards were held at the Los Angeles Convention Center, while the 2022 edition took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
Comedian Trevor Noah hosted the last six Grammy ceremonies, although organisers have not yet announced who will host the 2027 event.
