Ghana’s power supply has been fully restored following a major disruption, with all generating units now operational and the national grid back to stability.

Energy Minister John Abdulai Jinapor confirmed the development, attributing the success to the tireless, around-the-clock efforts of engineers and technical teams across the sector.

Mission accomplished. All generation units are now back in service,” he said, explaining that despite the difficult conditions, the situation was handled effectively through coordinated emergency interventions.

According to the Minister, engineers, technicians, and emergency response teams worked nonstop to bring the system back online after parts of the national grid were affected by the outage.

He also expressed gratitude to the leadership and staff of Ghana Grid CompanyVolta River Authority, and the Electricity Company of Ghana, along with other supporting agencies, for their collaborative role in restoring power quickly.

The Minister commended the commitment and professionalism of workers in the energy sector, noting that their response highlights the country’s ability to manage crises efficiently.

“This moment proves that even in challenging times, Ghana can depend on the expertise and resilience of its people,” he added.

He concluded by applauding the engineers and workforce involved, urging continued dedication to maintaining a stable and reliable power supply nationwide.
