Candidates who participated in the examination, including eligible private candidates, have been advised to check their examination status through WAEC’s dedicated irregularity portal.
Candidates and Schools Urged to Check Their Status
WAEC is encouraging candidates and schools whose names or details may have been linked to examination irregularities to access the portal and determine whether their results have been affected.
Candidates whose details appear on the platform may be invited by WAEC to provide information or assist with investigations into the suspected cases.

The investigations will enable the Council to assess each case and determine the appropriate action to take concerning the affected results.
Results Could Be Withheld or Cancelled
According to WAEC, candidates and schools flagged for examination irregularities may face different outcomes depending on the nature and severity of the suspected offense.
These may include:
- Cancellation of all examination results for a candidate or school.
- Withholding or cancellation of results in one or more subjects.
- Further investigation of a candidate’s results before a final decision is made.
Candidates and schools listed on the irregularity portal should therefore be aware that they may not have access to their full 2026 WASSCE results when the Council officially releases them until the relevant cases have been investigated and resolved.
