Former Dome-Kwabenya Member of Parliament, Sarah Adwoa Safo, is reportedly receiving medical care after an alleged shooting incident at the residence of her younger brother, Israel Kwadwo Safo, on Sunday.
Sources familiar with the matter say the former MP was present at the property when gunfire erupted during heightened tensions surrounding a leadership succession dispute within the Kristo Asafo movement following the death of Apostle Kwadwo Safo.

Eyewitnesses claim that armed men opened fire during a gathering said to have been organised in support of the installation of Nana Kwadwo Safo Akofena as the successor to the late founder.
Reports, which are yet to be independently verified, suggest that about 15 rounds of ammunition were discharged during the incident.

Individuals close to Adwoa Safo allege that a bullet grazed her neck area. She was subsequently rushed for medical treatment and is reportedly in stable condition.

The incident is said to be linked to an ongoing disagreement within the Kristo Asafo family over succession plans following the passing of Apostle Kwadwo Safo.
The dispute has reportedly led to legal challenges, with some family members opposing efforts to appoint Nana Kwadwo Safo Akofena as the leader of the organisation.
The Ghana Police Service has not yet released an official statement regarding the alleged shooting. Authorities are expected to investigate the incident and determine the circumstances surrounding the reported gunfire.
