The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced that applicants who applied for the 2026 teacher recruitment exercise can begin checking the status of their applications from today, Friday, July 24, 2026, through the official recruitment portal.
According to a statement issued by the GES Public Relations Unit, the application status will be released in two phases to enable applicants to access the portal based on their recruitment category and reduce traffic on the system.
Recruitment status release schedule
Applicants are expected to check their results at the following times:
| Recruitment Category | Release Time |
|---|---|
| Pre-Secondary (Early Childhood and Primary) | 5:00 p.m. |
| Secondary (Junior High School and Senior High School) | 9:00 p.m. |
The GES advised applicants to log into the recruitment portal using the same credentials they used during the application process to view their application status once the portal is activated.
Applicants urged to access the portal at designated times
Management of the Ghana Education Service has encouraged applicants to visit the portal only during their assigned release times to ensure a smooth experience and prevent unnecessary congestion.
The Service also thanked all applicants for their patience, cooperation, and understanding throughout the recruitment process.
The announcement follows earlier comments by Education Minister Haruna Iddrisu, who explained that the delay in releasing the recruitment results was caused by technical issues, which have since been resolved.
GES further urged applicants to rely only on official communication from the Service and disregard unverified information or fake announcements circulating on social media about the recruitment exercise.
