Thousands of students who participated in the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) are expected to receive their examination results on 17 July 2026, paving the way for the nationwide placement process into senior high schools.
Based on the proposed timetable for the 2026 school placement exercise, candidates and their parents or guardians will be able to review and confirm their selected school choices between 21 July and 27 July 2026.

The confirmation exercise is designed to give candidates the opportunity to verify the schools they selected before the computerized placement process is finalised.
The Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) is scheduled to publish placement results online on 13 August 2026.
Students who secure placements will then be able to check their assigned schools and begin the admission process ahead of the new academic year.

The academic calendar also indicates that first-year Senior High School (SHS 1) students are expected to report to school on 18 September 2026 to begin the 2026/2027 academic year.
