The Ministry of Health in Ghana has opened a recruitment drive for qualified Ghanaian nurses to take up employment opportunities in Saint Kitts and Nevis, as part of a bilateral agreement between the two countries.

In a statement, the ministry explained that the initiative is aimed at attracting experienced professional nurses willing to pursue a demanding yet rewarding career abroad.

It noted that both governments are collaborating to recruit skilled nurses interested in working within the healthcare system of Saint Kitts and Nevis.

Available Roles

The recruitment covers multiple specialised nursing positions, including:

  • Registered General Nurses (Medical Ward): Professionals with experience in adult medical care within hospital settings.

  • Registered General Nurses (Private Ward): Nurses skilled in providing personalised care in private or specialised wards.

  • Community Health Nurses: Practitioners trained in public health, preventive care, and community-based healthcare delivery.

Requirements

Applicants must meet the standards set by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana and possess a minimum of five years’ professional experience. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities are also required.

Application Documents

Candidates are expected to provide several documents, including:

  • Updated CV (two copies)

  • Academic certificates (originals and photocopies for verification)

  • Proof of registration and good standing with the Nursing and Midwifery Council

  • Police clearance certificate covering the past six months

  • Reference letters issued within the last six months

  • Recent passport-sized photograph

  • Birth certificate and immunisation records

  • Supporting documents such as a name change certificate, where applicable

Application Process

The application window will open on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Interested applicants must apply through the Ministry of Health’s recruitment portal at https://hr.moh.gov.gh.

The ministry further indicated that shortlisted candidates will be required to present all original and certified documents during their interview.
