President John Mahama is set to mark his first anniversary in office today, January 7, with a non-denominational thanksgiving service to be held at the Jubilee House forecourt in Accra.
The event, which begins at 8:00 a.m., will bring together religious leaders, top government officials, members of the diplomatic community, and other invited guests to reflect on the achievements and milestones of the administration’s first year in power.
Organised under the theme “Resetting. Rebuilding. Renewing.”, the service seeks to give thanks for the nation’s continued stability over the past year while reaffirming the government’s commitment to national renewal, unity, and inclusive governance.
The thanksgiving service is part of activities commemorating President Mahama’s one-year tenure and represents a period of reflection, collective unity, and renewed dedication as the administration moves into its second year.
