The Ministry of Health, Ghana, has announced the start of a nationwide recruitment exercise for health professionals, scheduled to begin on April 16, 2026, after receiving financial clearance.
In a press statement, the ministry explained that the recruitment will be decentralised, with hiring carried out at the district level based on confirmed vacancies.
The process will be competitive and transparent, guided by an approved quota system that covers all professional categories and graduating groups.
The ministry also stressed the importance of fiscal discipline, indicating that all hiring will be conducted within the limits of the approved budget.
Qualified applicants are advised to keep track of updates from official Ministry of Health platforms and district health directorates for details on available positions and application procedures.
Candidates are further encouraged to get their documents and credentials ready in advance to avoid delays during the application process.
The financial clearance for the recruitment exercise will remain valid until December 31, 2026, with all hiring expected to be completed within this period.
Underscoring the importance of the initiative, the ministry urged eligible professionals to seize the opportunity to support and improve healthcare delivery across Ghana.
